Cricket: Cricket-Henderson new chairman of Cricket Australia

(Reuters) – Lachlan Henderson is the new chairman of Cricket Australia (CA), taking on the place 4 months after his predecessor left amid lack of assist.

Henderson, a former first grade cricketer in Western Australia, has been a CA director for 3 years.

“As chair, my intention is to make sure the integrity and progress of the sport in Australia with sturdy governance embedded at Cricket Australia and mirrored in all ranges of cricket, from elite groups to neighborhood golf equipment,” Henderson stated.”Among my different predominant priorities shall be a deal with a robust, sustainable monetary future for the sport and constructing on the expansion in our participation charges, notably amongst women and girls, and our multi-cultural communities.”

Henderson’s predecessor, Earl Eddings, departed in October after three main state our bodies — New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia — withdrew their assist.
