KUALA LUMPUR: Credit reporting firm CTOS Digital Bhd expects its subsidiaries and businesses to rebound in the last quarter after earnings grew 9.3% in the three-month ended Sept 30.

This optimistic outlook was despite the temporary suspension of the central credit reference information system (CCRIS) services to credit reporting agencies by Bank Negara since Oct 1 due to potential cyber threats and possibility of data leak incident.

“The impact is likely to be only for October and immaterial to our revenue for FYE2021,” CTOS said today.

The company said CTOS Data Systems Sdn Bhd (CDS) was in the final stages of completing an independent compromise assessment which has thus far indicated no data leaks from CDS.

“Once Bank Negara has had the opportunity to review this report, we are hopeful the access will be restored,” CTOS said.

For the third quarter, CTOS reported a net profit of RM11.67mil, or 0.5 sen a share on revenue of RM38.57mil.

The company has declared an interim payout of 0.53 sen a share.
