A bullet-torn shirt and photographs of freedom fighters are among the many displays documenting Indonesia’s battle for independence from the Dutch in a groundbreaking present at Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum.
Revolusi! Indonesia Independent, which opens to the general public on Friday, is designed to “open a dialogue” on a troubled period between the Netherlands and one of its most prized colonies, organisers say.
