Responding to the insistence of the Nigérien, Malian and Burkinabè regimes on pulling out of Ecowas, Thursday’s ministerial assembly kept away from threats or additional sanctions. It merely famous that the juntas had not consulted their residents on this transfer after which made the optimistic case for staying in the bloc, to co-operate collectively in tackling frequent challenges like local weather change, violent extremism, migration and organised crime.
