GENEVA (Reuters) – All sides within the deepening conflict in Ethiopia’s northern area are committing “extreme human rights violations”, the United Nations mentioned on Friday, calling for them to tug again from battle.

An estimated 5,000 to 7,000 individuals are detained, together with 9 UN workers, beneath the state of emergency and its “excessively broad provision”, declared by the federal government final month, mentioned Nada al-Nashif, U.N. Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights.
