PUTRAJAYA: An allocation of RM50mil every has been offered to the Housing and Local Government Ministry and the Rural Development Ministry to rebuild and restore homes broken by the floods beneath the Rumah Kasih Keluarga Malaysia initiative.

Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican and Rural Development Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid introduced this at a joint press convention in Putrajaya Monday (Jan 10).

Reezal Merican stated via the initiative, between RM5,000 and RM15,000 had been put aside for the restore of every affected home whereas RM56,000 could be used to construct a brand new dwelling.

“The Housing Ministry is accountable for the affected homes in city areas and beneath the purview of native authorities whereas the Rural Development Ministry can be in command of homes in rural areas,” he stated.
