Football: Soccer-Man City sign teenage Matildas forward Fowler from Montpellier

(Reuters) – Manchester City have signed Australian worldwide forward Mary Fowler on a four-year contract from French facet Montpellier, the Women’s Super League membership stated on Wednesday.

Fowler made her worldwide debut aged 15 in 2018 and has seven objectives in 24 appearances for the Matildas.

The 19-year-old spent the final 2-1/2 seasons at Montpellier after becoming a member of them from Adelaide United in January 2020 and was final month named the Australian PFA’s Young Women’s Player of the Year.

“Mary is a doubtless one of the thrilling younger abilities within the sport proper now and we’re completely thrilled to have her be a part of us right here at City… She has a maturity past her years,” supervisor Gareth Taylor stated in an announcement.
