STOCKHOLM (Reuters) – Infineon, the main provider of microchips to the auto trade, on Monday reported a 22% rise in second-quarter revenue, helped by excessive demand for its chips as a consequence of a worldwide scarcity of semiconductors.

The Munich-based firm’s revenue grew to three.30 billion euros ($3.47 billion) forward of expectations of three.21 billion euros, in response to IBES knowledge from Refinitiv.
