Germany’s Scholz wants Western Balkans in EU

BERLIN (Reuters) – German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated he’ll journey to the Western Balkans earlier than a gathering of the European Council takes place subsequent month, bearing the message that the area belongs in the European Union.

The six Western Balkan nations with EU membership aspirations – Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo – have been engaged in years-long reform course of, Scholz instructed lawmakers in Berlin on Wednesday.
