WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Basic Motors Co mentioned Tuesday it can resume restricted manufacturing for 2 weeks at its Orion Meeting plant in Michigan, which has been shuttered since August and builds the electrical car Chevrolet Bolt.
The most important U.S. automaker in August widened its recall of the Bolt to greater than 140,000 automobiles to switch battery modules and to deal with fireplace dangers. GM’s Orion Meeting plant in Michigan, which builds the Bolt, is idled by means of the tip of October. GM mentioned the restricted manufacturing will begin Nov. 1 to assist optimize battery manufacturing and provide chain restore logistics.
