Green comet captured from back garden

A stargazer has captured the second a newly found inexperienced comet started to make its closest method to Earth.

George Chan photographed comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) from his back garden in Bramcote, Nottinghamshire.

The object originates within the Oort cloud, a set of icy our bodies on the fringe of the photo voltaic system, and its journey to our planet took about 50,000 years.

Comets are principally composed of ice and mud. As they method the Sun, the ice is vaporised and the mud shaken off to create the signature lengthy tail.
