The transport ministry (MOT) has introduced that highway tax renewal can now be carried out in any respect 14 Puspakom shops in Sabah and Sarawak, ranging from as we speak (November 1).
This service is for personal bikes and automobiles, excluding e-hailing automobiles. It’s also relevant to decontrolled automobiles, items automobiles weighing 7,500 kg and beneath.
In Peninsular Malaysia, highway tax renewal for decontrolled automobiles at Puspakom began in 2020, earlier than it was open to private vehicles at all 39 Puspakom centres in September this yr.
The MOT hopes that this initiative will enhance the supply or service by the federal government and enhance entry to companies. The transfer may even scale back the rakyat’s value, effort and time, the ministry says.
