Jamal Yunos still under OSA probe, NFA classification ‘temporary’, say cops

KUALA LUMPUR: Sungai Besar Umno chief Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos is still under investigation for allegedly leaking paperwork protected under the Official Secrets Act 1972 (OSA), say police.

Sentul Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai stated the investigation was still ongoing after Seputeh MP Teresa Kok earlier informed a press convention that the case following her police report on May 7 had been categorized as “No Further Action” (NFA).

“The NFA classification is barely short-term and an ordinary process.

“Police should classify the case inside 24 hours within the system. We will reclassify the case after recording statements from witnesses,” he stated when contacted.

According to Kok, Jamal had allegedly leaked paperwork together with minutes of a 2016 assembly suggestions on the system coordination of the Skim Mersa Usia Emas.

Kok informed reporters that the paperwork weren’t alleged to be leaked because it was related to her ongoing case towards him.

Both Kok and Jamal are presently in a court docket battle after she sued him for defamation after he claimed that she had misused the Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor funds.
