Johor polls: Last minute change for Pejuang candidate in Endau state seat

MUAR: Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) has made final minute adjustments to its Endau state seat candidate after their preliminary candidate examined constructive for Covid-19.

In an announcement, celebration data chief Ulya Aqamah Husamudin mentioned its preliminary candidate Zaini Tahar had examined constructive on Thursday (Feb 24), and he couldn’t make it to the candidacy announcement occasion in Muar.

“Therefore, the highest celebration management has determined to change our candidate for the Endau state seat to Mohd Noorhisyam Ibrahim,” mentioned Ulya Aqamah on Friday (Feb 25).

Pejuang had introduced on Thursday (Feb 25) that it will be fielding a complete of 42 candidates in the 56-seat state election.

Among them was its state celebration chief and Sri Gading MP Datuk Shahruddin Md Salleh who was anticipated to be in a five-cornered struggle in the Machap state seat.

Others embrace Nornekman Osman, son of former Johor mentri besar Datuk Osman Sapian whose loss of life on December 21 final 12 months led to this state election.

Nornekman will stand in Kempas, a seat as soon as held by his late father.

Nominations for the state elections can be held tomorrow whereas polling day can be on March 12.
