Johor polls: Puteri Wangsa will also see a six-cornered fight

PETALING JAYA: The Election Commission has accepted the nomination papers from all six candidates contesting the Puteri Wangsa seat within the Johor polls.

Assistant returning officer Syed Zainul Abidin Syed Abdullah introduced that the nomination types of all six candidates had been verified and accepted after nominations closed at 10am on Saturday (Feb 26).

Barisan Nasional candidate Ng Yew Aik from MCA will be taking up Perikatan Nasional’s Loh Kah Yong and Parti Bangsa Malaysia’s Steven Choong Shiau Yoon, who’s also Tebrau MP.

Also within the fray are Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) secretary-general Amira Aisya, Parti Pejuang Tanah Air’s Dr Khairil Anwar Razali and Independent candidate Adzrin Adam.
