KL cops raid unlicensed nightclub, 97 issued compound notices

KUALA LUMPUR: Police issued almost RM100,000 value of compound notices for normal working process (SOP) violations throughout a raid at a nightclub alongside Jalan Tun Razak right here.

Wangsa Maju OCPD Supt Ashari Abu Samah stated they raided the premises at round 11.30pm on Friday (April 1).

“We issued RM1,000 compound notices to 60 males and 37 girls.

“We additionally arrested eight overseas males and two overseas girls for immigration violations and one native man believed to be the premises caretaker,” he stated in a press release on Saturday (April 2).

He stated the locam man couldn’t produce a legitimate enterprise license.

“We seized two audio system, two televisions, 4 microphones, an amplifier, two mixers, a pill gadget, in addition to RM111 in money.

“Investigations will likely be carried out beneath Section 4(1) of the Entertainment (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur) Act 1992 for working with no legitimate license,” he stated.

He urged the general public to adjust to the SOP set by the National Security Council always to curb the unfold of Covid-19.
