KPS says associate company Sprint Holdings accepts ALR offer for Sprint

KUALA LUMPUR: Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Bhd’s (KPS) 20-per cent associate company, System Penyuraian Trafik KL Barat Holdings Sdn Bhd (SPRINT Holdings), has accepted the conditional offer for the acquisition of all the stake in System Penyuraian Traffik KL Barat Sdn Bhd (SPRINT).

KPS stated the written acceptance was delivered by SPRINT Holdings to Amanat Lebuhraya Rakyat Bhd (ALR) – the offeror – at present.

“SPRINT Holdings expects to start negotiations with ALR to finalise the phrases and situations of the definitive settlement for the proposed disposal and to execute the definitive settlement,” it stated in a inventory change submitting to Bursa Malaysia.

KPS on April 4 introduced that SPRINT Holdings had obtained a letter of offer from ALR to accumulate all the fairness curiosity of SPRINT for about RM1.81 billion.

ALR is a public restricted company included beneath the Companies Act 2016 and has the mandate of the Malaysian authorities for the proposed restructuring of sure tolled freeway concessions. – Bernama
