Malaysia to host MLBB South-East Asia Cup 2022 with RM1.3mil prize pool

For the primary time ever, Malaysia will play host to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2022, which boasts a US$300,000 (RM1.3mil) prize pool.

A collaboration between developer Moonton Games, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Esports Integrated (ESI), the event will function 12 groups.

Other than Malaysia’s Orange Esports and Todak, Singapore’s RSG SG and Evos SG, Indonesia’s Onic Esports and RRQ Hoshi, the Philippines’ RSG PH and Omega Esports, Myanmar’s Falcon ESports, Thailand’s IDNS, and Cambodia’s SeeYouSoon and Impunity KH will likely be duking it out for a share of the prize pool.

Those who buy gold tickets, priced from RM35 to RM40, will likely be in a position to redeem an in-game chest that’s assured to embrace a pores and skin reminiscent of Cherry Witch Kagura and Amethyst Dance Guinevere.

Gold ticket holders may also get precedence entry and the chance to meet and greet the groups.

Buyers of silver tickets, priced from RM25 to RM30, will likely be in a position to redeem two in-game chests.

Tickets may be bought by means of the Ticket2u web site or on-site when the occasion kicks off on June 11.

Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu stated the occasion showcases the ministry’s dedication to increasing and supporting regional esports tournaments as envisioned within the Strategic Plan for Esports Development 2020 – 2025.

“Malaysia has produced many proficient esports professionals who’ve flourished effectively in worldwide and native competitions.

“MSC 2022 will help to propel Malaysia’s esports ecosystem to new heights, well in line with our vision as a vibrant esports hub to nurture our locals to become world-renowned esports athletes,” he stated.

The event will likely be held from June 11 to 19 on the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) in Kuala Lumpur.
