TAPAH: A person was killed when the four-wheel-drive vehicle he was in crashed into the again of a truck at KM313 northbound of the North-South Expressway right here.
Tapah OCPD Superintendent Wan Azharuddin Wan Ismail stated the sufferer, Shaik Shafiq Shaik Abdul Halim, 31, from Prai, Penang, was killed on the spot through the 11pm incident on Friday (Feb 11).
Supt Wan Azharuddin stated the motive force of the truck, which was transporting bread, was unhurt.
“The deceased’s body has been sent to the Tapah Hospital forensics unit for a post-mortem,” he stated in a press release on Saturday (Feb 12).
“The incident is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act for reckless driving causing death.
“Both vehicles have been seized to be checked by Puspakom,” he added.
