(Reuters) – Formulation One has renewed its contract with Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the Spanish Grand Prix till 2026, it introduced on Friday.
F1 stated in a press release that as a part of the brand new settlement, enhancements to the monitor and services might be made forward of subsequent season’s race on Could 22, 2022.
The enhancements would come with upgrades and enhancements referring to the circuit’s sustainability plans, the assertion added.
“I wish to thank the promoter and authorities for his or her enthusiasm and dedication to preserving Formulation 1 in Barcelona…,” F1 chief govt Stefano Domenicali stated.
MotoGP, the premier class of motorbike racing, additionally renewed its settlement with the circuit till 2026.
It stated that the brand new contract ensures the Catalan GP race a spot on the 2022 calendar and “confirms a minimal of two extra occasions to be held between 2023 and 2026”.
