LONDON (Reuters) – Mercedes is not going to appeal the result of final Sunday’s season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen is Formula One world champion, the staff mentioned in an announcement on Thursday.
Verstappen, 24, took the title after overtaking Mercedes’ seven-times world champion Lewis Hamilton on the final lap of the race following a security automobile interval. The Dutch driver will acquire his trophy in Paris on Thursday.
