MPV driver who blocked ambulance on NSE suffers from tinnitus, say cops

IPOH: Action has been taken towards a motorist with a listening to dysfunction who blocked the trail of an ambulance on the North-South Expressway (NSE), say police.

Without elaborating, Kampar OCPD Supt Mohamad Nazri Daud mentioned “acceptable” motion had been taken towards the 62-year-old man, who suffers from tinnitus as a consequence of an acoustic neuroma (a benign mind tumour).

He mentioned the police on Sunday (May 15) detected a video clip of the incident, believed to have occurred on KM292 northbound of the NSE.

“We referred to as the driver and proprietor of the MPV to be current on the district police station on Sunday at 5pm, he mentioned in a press release.

“The driver began having tinnitus three years in the past and continues to be being handled on the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre,” he mentioned.

In the 37-second video clip that went viral on social media, a white-coloured MPV is seen blocking the ambulance regardless that its siren and lights are on.

Supt Mohamad Nazri mentioned the police will proceed to beef up its visitors enforcement efforts to make sure the security of highway customers within the district.
