Cinema operator TGV Cinemas issued an announcement on Sunday (March 6) apologising after cinemagoers complained about an incident through the screening of The Batman on Saturday.

According to experiences, the three-hour movie had already been enjoying for 45 minutes at TGV Vivacity Megamall in Kuching, Sarawak, when it was restarted and this was due to “some VIPs arriving late”.

The statement posted on TGV’s official social media said that it would be issuing two complimentary tickets and a full refund to those who were affected at the showing.

While TGV said it is looking into this matter, it didn’t officially mention the reason for the restart.

Meanwhile, netizens have been posting comments on TGV’s Facebook since the apology was posted.

Those commenting are mostly curious about who the VIP might be that was “so thick face to ask for a restart”.

“I believe most of the people here will choose to give up the tickets refund to see who is the vvip behind this case,” commented an individual.

Other feedback embrace “VIP lives matter? civilians’ lives are crap?” and “Even when it comes to watching films, there are double requirements?”

Another sarcastically requested “If I come late next time, will you restart the movie?” whereas one in all them concluded, “Apology not accepted because it’s not a technical error.”
