SEREMBAN: A complete of 274 victims have been moved to 5 non permanent shelters after steady rain precipitated flash floods in 29 areas of Negri Sembilan.
State Fire and Rescue Services Department assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar stated 112 victims have been moved to the Kg Paya group corridor in Lukut after their homes have been flooded following steady rain since 10pm on Friday (Dec 17) evening.
“Eighty-seven victims are actually placing up at a surau in Siliau Hilir, 42 at one other surau in Keru Hilir and 29 on the Kg Permatang Pasir group Hall in Teluk Kemang,” he stated on Saturday (Dec 18).
Ahmad Mukhlis stated residents in solely 12 of the 29 affected areas had to be moved to the non permanent shelters.
