GEORGE TOWN: Penang will start its walk-in Covid-19 jabs for citizens from 10am on Wednesday (Sept 8) at 10 vaccination centres (PPV) here.

The 10 centres located on the island and mainland are the Setia SPICE Convention Centre in Bayan Lepas, the Pesta site in Sungai Nibong and the Balik Pulau Sports Complex on the island.

On the mainland the PPV are at the Dewan Millenium; Perda Convention Centre in Tasek Gelugor; SP Arena; Seberang Jaya Expo site; Vangohh Eminent Hotel in Machang Bubok; Dewan Sungai Bakap and Dewan Serbaguna Jawi.

Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the walk-ins were open to Malaysians aged 18 and above who have not received their vaccination appointment or have not registered for one yet.

“It is on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the capacity and supply of vaccines at the respective centres.

“Update your MySejahtera app before coming to the centre. You must not be unwell, or have had close contact with a Covid-19 patient, or be under quarantine,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Sept 7).
