Pentagon says it will help gather evidence of Russian war crimes in Ukraine

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Pentagon on Monday accused Russian forces of committing war crimes in Ukraine and stated it would help gather evidence of them, as it accused the Kremlin of finishing up indiscriminate assaults as half of an intentional technique in the battle.

“We actually see clear evidence that Russian forces are committing war crimes and we’re serving to with the gathering of evidence of that,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby advised a information briefing.

“But there’s investigative processes which might be going to go on, and we’ll let that occur. We’re going to contribute to that investigative course of. As for what would come out of that, that is not a choice that the Pentagon management would make.”
