Peter Tatchell on his life-long fight for gay rights

Boxer Mike Tyson, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and a former Archbishop of Canterbury – just some of the individuals Peter Tatchell has protested towards throughout a lifetime of campaigning for human rights.

As the activist turns 70, he tells BBC News concerning the concern he has felt as he confronted violence and jail time for standing as much as discrimination of all types.

Tatchell plans to maintain campaigning properly into his 90s, and says he hopes to dwell to see “an finish to the residual parts of homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in British society”.
