ALOR SETAR: The bodies of three relations who have been feared drowned after the automobile they have been travelling in plunged right into a river at Syed Omar Bridge, close to Jalan Sungai Petani-Baling on Saturday (June 25) have been discovered.
Baling OCPD Supt Shamsudin Mamat stated the three have been recognized as spiritual trainer Mashitoh Ibrahim, 37, and her two sons Mohd Ziyad Zikri Sharudin, 7, and Mohd Ziyad Haziq, 5.

“Investigation discovered that the accident occurred at about 6.30pm, and the automobile pushed by the sufferer have been heading in the direction of Sungai Petani from Kuala Ketil when the driving force immediately misplaced management of the car on the bridge, skidded and plunged into Sungai Muda,” he stated in an announcement on Sunday (June 26).
Supt Shamsudin stated all of the victims have been discovered trapped within the automobile beneath the river, including that the stays have been despatched to Kulim Hospital for postmortem.
Supt Shamsudin stated police are actually in search of witnesses to assist in the investigations.
He stated the automobile wreckage was despatched to Baling police headquarters for additional investigation.
The case is being investigated below Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
