MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian Overseas Minister Sergei Lavrov stated on Thursday that Moscow would quickly put ahead proposals for a brand new European safety pact that he stated he hoped would cease NATO from increasing additional east.

In a speech to the OSCE in Stockholm, Lavrov stated that Europe was returning to what he referred to as the nightmare of navy confrontation and stated he hoped that Russia’s proposals can be rigorously thought of.

Lavrov stated that Western arms shipments to Ukraine have been encouraging Kyiv to assume it may resolve its territorial issues by power, one thing it has denied, and that Moscow feared that intermediate-range U.S. missiles may seem in Europe.
