Sarawak Polls: Sim’s manifesto for Batu Kawah folk includes good jobs, quality of life and healthcare

KUCHING: Batu Kawah candidate Datuk Seri Dr Sim Hui Kian has introduced his plans for the constituency for the subsequent 5 years, pledging that nobody shall be left behind because the financial system rebounds.

Themed “Majulah Batu Kawah”, Dr Sim’s manifesto for the election accommodates his four-point imaginative and prescient for the individuals.

“After laying the groundwork and building on it in the past five years, the next five years will be transformational,” he told a press conference on Thursday (Dec 9).

“The future we want is one with high quality of life, healthcare and livelihood.

“Let’s make life easier for all our generations in the family, including providing more opportunities for decent, well–paid jobs and work-life balance.”

Towards that end, the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidate has pledged to provide both monetary and non-monetary assistance to all types of schools.

Affordable housing for the M40 and B40 households, to upgrade or open 10 recreational parks and push the Health Ministry to set up a cancer centre are among the plans he has for Batu Kawah.

He also plans to set up an innovation hub for startups and entrepreneurs and ensure that internet connectivity is of sufficiently high speed to support digital lifestyles and businesses.

“I hope the people will continue to trust and support GPS so they can enjoy the best of Batu Kawah in the years to come.

“I want the people to have their share and enjoy the state’s prosperity and development,” he stated.

Dr Sim received the seat within the 2016 election and was made native authorities minister within the final Sarawak Cabinet.
