Sime Darby Motors teams up with TOC Automotive College

PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Motors (SDM) has teamed up with TOC Automotive College to determine programmes to repeatedly upskill electrical automobiles (EV) technicians servicing international automotive manufacturers represented underneath SDM.

SDM, in a press release, mentioned this was a part of its efforts to unlock alternatives for native expertise within the automotive sector.

Through this partnership, coaching by TOC Automotive College will complement EV service and upkeep coaching obtained from SDM’s model principals, together with BMW, Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mini and Volvo.

This will guarantee steady schooling and publicity to the most recent in applied sciences and world-class practices for all SDM’s EV technicians.

SDM managing director of retail and distribution Jeffrey Gan mentioned its technicians have already acquired a robust information base and hands-on expertise from the coaching supplied by its world-class principals.

“Paving the way for the future of the automotive industry in Malaysia, we look forward to imparting our expertise to continue nurturing the capabilities of automotive professionals towards global standards.”

The first batch of individuals includes 20 technicians enrolled for a three-month programme that begins in May 2022.

Key modules embrace the ideas and ideas behind electrification and hybridisation, security and techniques operations, in addition to sensible actions comparable to diagnostics, testing and restore works.
