Border Patrol brokers found seven spider monkeys in a backpack after they detained a person making an attempt to smuggle to animals into the US from Mexico.
At least six spider monkey species residing in Central and South America are thought of endangered, in line with the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources.
The monkeys had been handed over to the US Fish and Wildlife service.
