KUALA LUMPUR: Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan (pic) has arrived on the meeting for the occasion’s Women, Youth and Puteri wings.
Mohamad or Tok Mat, who will likely be delivering his speech to deal with the delegations later within the night, was welcomed by occasion secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan and Women’s wing chief Datuk Noraini Ahmad.
Other Umno leaders current embody Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, vice-president Datuk Seri Khalid Nordin, supreme council members Tan Sri Noh Omar and Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, amongst others.
An estimated 5,571 delegates are anticipated to attend the Umno General Assembly 2021 at World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) from Thursday (March 17) to Saturday (March 19).
The Women’s, Youth and Puteri delegations comprise 959, 971 and 961 individuals, respectively.
The basic meeting made its return bodily after a two-year hiatus as a result of pandemic and after being postponed in January this 12 months.
