U.S. settles with Microsoft over immigration-related discrimination claims

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Justice Department stated on Tuesday it has reached a settlement with Microsoft Corp resolving allegations that the corporate discriminated in opposition to non-U.S. residents within the hiring course of.

The division stated Microsoft requested job candidates for pointless immigration paperwork to show they may work for the corporate while not having its sponsorship for work visas.
