KIEV, April 11 (Xinhua) — Ukraine’s gross home product (GDP) will shrink by 45.1 % this 12 months due to the battle with Russia, the Interfax-Ukraine information company reported on Monday, citing a latest World Bank (WB) report.
In its report, the financial institution has projected that the poverty charge in Ukraine will improve from 1.8 % in 2021 to 19.8 % in 2022.
The non-public consumption in Ukraine this 12 months will fall by 50 %, exports will lower by 80 %, whereas imports will shrink by 70 %.
In 2023, the Ukrainian economy is anticipated to rise by 2.1 %, down from the earlier projection of three.5 %, the WB mentioned.
