Undersea tunnel corruption trial: I was shocked by Guan Eng’s demand for 10% of company profits, witness tells court

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court right here was informed that former Penang Chief minister Lim Guan Eng requested for 10% of the earnings made by Consortium Zenith Beijing Urban Construction Group (CZBUCG) from the undersea tunnel venture.

Reading out his witness assertion in court on Friday (Dec 17), Consortium Zenith proprietor Datuk Zarul Ahmad Mohd Zulkifli, 62, the twenty third prosecution witness, mentioned he was shocked to listen to the phrases coming from Lim because of his anti-corruption stance.

“From what I understood, the ten% can be from the earnings my company made that I must give Lim for awarding the venture to us.

“I agreed to his request, ” he mentioned.
