Senegal forward Sadio Mane has been ruled out of the World Cup as he requires surgical procedure on a knee injury he sustained enjoying for Bayern Munich.

On Tuesday, Senegal’s soccer federation mentioned Mane, 30, would miss their “first video games” on the event.

But an additional MRI scan was accomplished on Thursday that confirmed surgical intervention is required.
