PETALING JAYA: Ampang MP Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin has isolated herself from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) on her personal accord, says Tan Sri Megat Najmuddin Megat Khas.
The Bersatu disciplinary board chairman stated this following hypothesis that the Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister was becoming a member of Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM).
He added that whereas nothing was official but, there’ll no level investigating or expelling Zuraida if the hearsay was true.
“We would don’t have any jurisdiction if she already left the party for an additional,” he stated when contacted on Thursday (Feb 3).
“It is freedom of affiliation, which is a elementary proper below the Federal Constitution.
“What is there to analyze if she has already left the party?” he stated.
A majority of Bersatu’s supreme council members are apparently ready to offer the boot due to her alleged hyperlinks to PBM.
However on Wednesday (Feb 2), PBM secretary-general Nor Hizwan Ahmad stated they’d but to obtain any software from Zuraida, who has remained silent over the claims towards her since they surfaced at a Bersatu assembly on Jan 25.
Megat Najmuddin stated that there was no level in bringing Zuraida earlier than the party’s disciplinary board as it might be akin to a publicity stunt.
