Johor Baru North police chief ACP Rupiah Abd Wahid mentioned the 2 males, aged 24 and 27, have been detained in reference to the posts uploaded on the Facebook accounts of “Bryan Wee” and “Deacon Chai”.
The case is being investigated underneath Section 505 (b) of the Penal Code, Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, and Section 15 (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
If convicted underneath Section 505 (b) of the Penal Code for public mischief, they are often punished with imprisonment for as much as two years or a wonderful or each. If discovered responsible of improper use of community services, they are often punished with a wonderful not exceeding RM50,000 or imprisonment no more than a yr or each.
