KUALA LUMPUR: A well known actor has been detained and remanded for three days in reference to assaulting a person at a condominium in Segambut.

The suspect, in his mid-30s, who’s a resident of the identical condominium, had allegedly assaulted a fellow resident of the condominium at about 8.30pm on Thursday (June 16).

Kuala Lumpur CID chief Senior Asst Comm Habibi Majinji mentioned the sufferer had requested his good friend to buy cooking oil exterior of the condominium premises.

“When the sufferer’s good friend arrived to ship the cooking oil, he was not allowed to enter the condominium by a safety guard,” he mentioned when contacted on Saturday (June 18).

SAC Habibi mentioned the sufferer then went to the foyer to inquire why his good friend was not allowed to enter.

“We consider the sufferer had quarrelled with the guard when the actor out of the blue intervened by punching and kicking him.

“The sufferer claimed that the actor punched and kicked him in the face, chest, abdomen and again in addition to threatened to kill him,” he mentioned.

The sufferer lodged a police report at Sentul district police headquarters and the actor was subsequently detained on Friday (June 17), SAC Habibi mentioned.

“He has been remanded till Monday (June 20) to help the investigation,” he added.
