VIENNA (Reuters) – Around half of the staff who’ve been working on the radioactive waste amenities at Chernobyl since Russian forces seized it final month have been relieved by different Ukrainian staff, the U.N. nuclear watchdog stated on Sunday.

“They have been there for far too lengthy. I sincerely hope that remaining staff from this shift also can rotate quickly,” International Atomic Energy Agency chief Rafael Grossi stated in an announcement. Ukraine’s nuclear regulator knowledgeable the IAEA that the rotation had begun on Sunday morning, the IAEA stated.
