Insta-worthy ‘Van Gogh Alive’ multimedia exhibit to open in KL on Dec 17

Van Gogh’s famed cypresses, flowers, wheat fields and portraits are set to amplify and swirl round you when the larger-than-life multimedia exhibition Van Gogh Alive is ready to land at Pavilion Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur in December.

The immersive multi-sensory exhibition, displaying floor-to-ceiling projections of Van Gogh’s famed artwork, together with The Starry Night and Sunflowers, will open to the general public on Dec 17. It will run day by day till March 16, 2023.

Van Gogh Alive is introduced by Australia-based Grande Experiences, and the ticketed present is co-organised by FrameMotion Studio Sdn Bhd and Meta Doers World Holding Berhad in Malaysia.

“Make no mistake – that is no peculiar artwork exhibition. Van Gogh Alive units apart traditions of tiptoeing by way of silent galleries and viewing work from afar in quiet contemplation. As guests discover themselves interacting with artwork in methods they by no means imagined. From begin to end, guests are surrounded by a vibrant symphony of sunshine, color, sound, and perfume that has been described as an ‘unforgettable’ multi-sensory expertise,” reads the exhibition notes.

Van Gogh Alive has toured greater than 80 cities around the globe, and greatly surprised greater than 8.5 million guests.

At the Pavilion Bukit Jalil Kuala Lumpur, the exhibition will probably be housed in a specifically designed and constructed immersive gallery (measuring practically 1,900sq m) to welcome guests.
