The popular Spanish heist series Money Heist or La Casa de Papel has returned with new episodes and Malaysians are excitedly showing their love for the show publicly.
On September 6, TikTok user @iliyapengyou shared a video showing a group of four wearing the iconic red jumpsuit and Salvador Dali masks donned by the characters in the show. The music played in the video is from the show titled Bella Ciao.
The group was getting their vaccination shots at Ixora Hotel in Penang.
“Usually only foreigners but today a troop of Money Heists [came] to our centre,“ @iliyapengyou wrote in the caption.
Fortunately, they were not there to steal vaccines but to steal smiles. The group followed the proper SOPs throughout the vaccination process and their presence provided a light moment in the PPV centre.
Fans of the series shared their appreciation and excitement in the comments.
“Rob bank? X. Rob vaccine centre? Check,” a user wrote.
“How long have you guys been planning this heist?” the next comment read.
A comment by @naimmura96 summarised the event well: “Malaysia’s vaccination [centre] has turned into Comic-Con.”
Since the release of new episodes, Money Heist has been trending on social media platforms such as Twitter and TikTok with people all over the world joining the gang (even us!).
