KUALA LUMPUR: The federal government will proceed to assist micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by disbursing funds beneath section two of the Prihatin Particular Grant (GKP 4.0) of the Pemulih package deal from Nov 23.
In an announcement on Friday (Nov 19), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob stated the RM500 payout shall be disbursed starting Nov 23, on prime of the RM500 given out in September to a couple of million eligible micro enterprises.
“As a complete, every entrepreneur will obtain a complete of RM1,000 beneath GKP 4.0 as a type of reduction from the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This initiative covers current recipients of GKP 1.0, GKP 2.0, and GKP 3.0, apart from new recipients of GKP 4.0, with a monetary implication of as much as RM500mil,” stated Ismail Sabri.
He added the fee shall be credited into the financial institution accounts of eligible recipients registered beneath the GKP system, and the folks can examine their eligibility starting Nov 22 by way of https://gkp.hasil.gov.my.
The Prime Minister stated in whole, RM6.08bil had been allotted for over a million micro enterprises beneath GKP because the pandemic hit.
“The federal government hopes that steady money handouts to those micro enterprises will assist them with money movement and stimulate the restoration of their companies, which has been some of the severely impacted by the pandemic,” he stated. – Bernama
