Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance say to deepen cooperations in EV production

TOKYO (Reuters) – Renault SA, Nissan Motor Co and Mitsubishi Motors on Thursday stated they plan to deepen cooperation in electrical car production as their two decade-old alliance positions itself to compete as auto markets change to EVs.

They will improve the variety of widespread platforms for EVs to 5 from 4, and by 2030 plan to have a mixed EV line up of 35 automobiles, they stated in a press launch.

The carmakers additionally stated that by 2026 4 fifths of all fashions made by their alliance will share widespread platforms in contrast with 60% now.
