Sabah to tweak SOPs before re-opening its international borders, says Masidi

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah is predicted to come out with its personal normal working procedures (SOP) with the nation reopening its borders on April 1, says Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic).

The state Covid-19 spokesman mentioned that they have been ready for the detailed SOPs from the Federal Government before the state Covid-19 Disaster administration committee discusses and adjusts the SOPs for opening borders.

He mentioned there was a necessity to look into the facets of reopening borders by taking account many foreigners arriving through sea route to Sabah from neighbouring Indonesia and the Philippines.

“We need to make sure that all foreigners coming to Sabah are totally vaccinated with boosters.

“We look forward to the nationwide SOP to be introduced before we make vital changes,” he mentioned in an announcement on Tuesday (March 8) after Prime Minister introduced the re-opening of the nationwide borders from April 1.
