Actress Jung Ho-yeon, who performs Sae-byeok in Netflix‘s global hit Squid Game, won the Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Drama Series at the Screen Actors Guild Award (SAG).
Jung was nominated in the category along with Jennifer Aniston of The Morning Show, Elisabeth Moss of The Handmaid‘s Tale, Sarah Snook of Succession and Reese Witherspoon of The Morning Show.
Speaking through a translator, she’s reported saying: “First and foremost, thank you so much. I have sat many a times watching you on the big screen, dreaming of one day becoming an actor. I just want to say thank you so much.”
She then said “I love you!” in English to the show’s crew.

The 28th annual SAG Awards was held at the Barker Hangar on Sunday (Feb 27, US time) in Santa Monica, California, United States where awards for 15 categories, encompassing film and TV, were given out.
Earlier, Jung’s co-star actor Lee Jung-jae was named the winner of Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Drama Series, beating Succession’s Brian Cox, Kieran Culkin and Jeremy Strong and The Morning Show’s Billy Crudup.
An outlet reported what Lee mentioned on stage by a translator: “Oh my, thanks a lot! This is actually enormous that it is occurred to me.
“I did write one thing however I do not assume I’ll get to studying it.
“Thank you a lot SAG awards and thanks to the world viewers for your whole love for Squid Game. And thanks Squid Game workforce.”
They each comply with Youn Yuh-jung, who turned the first South Korean actor ever to have received at the SAG Awards.
The sequence additionally received in the Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series class. Other nominees on this class are Cobra Kai, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, Loki and Mare Of Easttown.
However, Squid Game missed out on the Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble In A Drama Series class for which it was nominated together with The Handmaid’s Tale, The Morning Show, Succession and Yellowstone. HBO present Succession received this one.
