KEPALA BATAS: A Sungai Petani man who recorded a video exhibiting a pair of handcuffs with the intention to scare one other man was arrested for impersonating a police officer.

State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief Senior Asst Comm Rahimi Ra’ais mentioned the suspect was arrested after the sufferer lodged a police report on Tuesday (Feb 15).

“Investigation revealed that the suspect is in his 30’s and is believed to have recorded the video with the intention to intimidate and needed the sufferer to respect him following a downside confronted by each of them in relation to a home rental concern,” he mentioned in a assertion on Tuesday.

SAC Rahimi mentioned police confiscated a handphone that was utilized by the suspect to document the footage, together with a pair of handcuffs and a handcuff key.
