Swiss vaccination panel chief says he was kidnap victim

ZURICH (Reuters) – The head of Switzerland’s vaccination advisory fee has recognized himself because the victim of a short kidnapping final month that led to a deadly shootout with police.

Several Swiss media revealed an announcement from Christoph Berger, saying a kidnapper he didn’t know had taken him captive for round an hour on March 31 and demanded a big sum of cash below menace of violence earlier than releasing him.

Berger, a physician, has made frequent appearances within the media in the course of the coronavirus pandemic.
