Teen drowns near Sungai Kembung jetty in Pulau Indah

KLANG: A 14-year-old boy drowned on the Sungai Kembung fishermen’s jetty in Pulau Indah Sat whereas taking part in in the river.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis mentioned the sufferer, who didn’t know tips on how to swim, had gone to the jetty with two buddies aged 10 and 15.

“The three kids had been washed away. One was rescued by the general public and one other managed to swim to security,” mentioned Norazam.

The Fire and Rescue Department was notified and groups from Port Klang and the state’s water rescue unit rushed to the scene to seek for the sufferer.

Fire engines arrived on the scene at 1.40pm and managed to retrieve the victims’ stays at 4pm, mentioned Norazam.

“The sufferer was confirmed useless by Health Ministry officers on the scene,” he added.

Norazam mentioned the sufferer’s stays had been handed over to the police for additional motion.
